Dr. Patricia Frost-Fitch, DVM, Diplomate AVDC, left us with her vision and a starter fund to make it happen. Her overall vision was to alleviate animal pain … a big vision, to be sure. Her specific concern was about animals suffering silently with dental problems that go unseen, because no dental x-rays were taken. She passionately wished to engage both the veterinary profession and animal owners in an inclusive effort to articulate the importance of dental x-rays.
Her instructions were to create a website and social media presence to highlight patient stories and cases where dental x-rays facilitated the diagnosis and treatment of painful oral problems. The veterinary community and pet owners can use the site to share stories of how veterinary dental treatment made their lives better.
The new website HelpStopPetDentalPain.com is on track to launch December 2016. It will include:
- Cases and stories from veterinarians and pet owners that highlight the need for dental radiographs
- Useful information about animal dentistry for the general public
Dr. Frost-Fitch left a starter fund to develop the website and promote it on social media. But, the site can only be sustained through donations. Please help Pat’s vision thrive by sharing stories and cases. Contributions to this non-profit will also be used to fund pet dental care research, and the studies will be featured on the website.
